Hey, folks.
I am looking for some recording software to use with some of my more advanced upper-elementary students. It has to be able to do the following things:
-
Record and mix multi track sound (minimum four tracks).
-
Enable at least rudimentary sound manipulation with equalizers and effects processing (reverb, etc).
-
Have a easy to use interface that can be manipulated and understood by fairly on-the-ball sixth graders.
-
Be free (or quite cheap), as this is, after all, for a public school music class.
My kids are currently composing their songs for their spring concert, and I would like to record them and let them see how the process works (using a digital projector and smartboard), possibly even making the decisions themselves.
I tried Krystal and couldn’t get it to work right. Any ideas?
