Just an observation & a sigh of relief really, I have a WTB ad on the UIE as some others. However always refrained forrm posting on here as a double shot. Now there is one on the UIE that has the whole page of sales/wants taken up, one sale at a time no chance mine will come to the attention of any prospective owner/seller. SO Idly ponder what the moderator would do… if his lot were to be placed on here as per others do?
Surely the board is for topics not sales, but this of course is only my opinion and expect a retort or two either in offence or defence? But at least it’ll make more interesting reading than see my other link. Oh by the way I’m having no luck on my list. LoL
Anyway, I suspect many of the instruments will sell soon and those messages quickly retired to the “Sold & Old” sub-forum of the UIE, and free up thread space.
Also, recall that UIE topics are retired after approx. 2 weeks, unless renewed/bumped by the original poster or a moderator. That turnover is part of how the UIE forum stays “fresh”. Much better than other boards where old for sale threads are left unresolved and subject to zombie revivals.
I wish you luck in fulfilling your WTB list. It is apparent to me that those instruments are rare to find.
When your in the know your safe… get to you later then Ben:-)) Need more than luck I’m afraid but never say never, there’s alway a suitcase under the bed story and a widow wandering in selling off the crown jewels, if only I knew who & where.
So my point was… if that lot had appeared here the same leniency it seems would have been afforded. What is needed is a tougher mod/stance on these infernal linked postings but that’s only my thoughts as written before & maybe anyone else thinking this doesn’t wish to be known?
