I have two whistles made by him : a low F and a low D. Great sound !

Listen Jacob Fournel from the group [u]“Doolin”[/u], he plays only on whistles made by Jacky Proux.

What is that first tune? The march. I feel like I learned it from a concertina player but its gone from my memory.

None that i know of unfortunately. I mailed him after seeing pics and reading french reviews through Google translate.

I found such a review. Thanks. Nice different looking whistles but the price puts me off straight way . . . at least for now. But I would love to see a review on C&F.

I’ll let you know when i get it. I don’t think they’re that expensive in the grand scheme of things?! Goldie and Burke, among others are considerably more expensive..

I thought I saw them priced at about €350 for a Low D but maybe I was mistaken.

In the mail i got last week, the low D is priced €260, i’d say that’s ballpark figures for a hi-end low D, no?
EDIT: I didn’t realize the dollar had plunged that much since i last checked out the Burkes (2011-12) now they are almost affordable in comparison :slight_smile:

Yeah, that’s better and, as you say, the hi-end ball park for a Low D. I’ll be interested to hear more . . .
