Introduction

Hullo all!

After lurking for a while, I finally had a few questions worth posting. So, I thought I’d introduce myself while I’m at it.

My name is Brian, I’m a professor at a small school in Kentucky, and I’ve been noodling on the whistle for a few years now.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the phenomenon that is Chiff & Fipple (thanks Dale for providing a site odd enough to suite this crowd!) and hope to keep finding out new stuff.

Thanks!

Welcome to the C&F whistle forum.

welcome Brian

don’t trust the answers
'specially mine!

a lot of us don’t do well with suspense…

what were the questions?

(you don’t want mutey to just start makin’ up answers)

Yep, welcome from me too.

This is an odd, but fun and useful place to visit.

Welcome…

I think we should start with providing the answers, rather than asking for the questions. Here’s my answer:

Yes, that’s perfectly normal, and certainly nothing to be embarased about. Many players find that it takes several months to get used to the position. The rash should clear up in a few weeks of its own accord, but if it remains, seek medical advice or try rubbing in a little gorilla snot.

Finally! Answers that make sense!

Can you tell me how to get the snot out of the gorilla? I’ve ruined 2 Clarke’s jammin’ em’ up in there…

Doh! the answer to the first question is obviously ‘No’.

For those who didn’t notice the question it was ‘Are any of you psychic?’

The questions are actually posted in other places…hopefully in the appropriate forums! Only one so far…besides the obvious gorilla issues.

ah, yes…

gorilla snot is actually harvested by Chinese workers, bottled and shipped over here.

I’ve always used fresh. I wonder if the benefits are worth the medical expenses?

I’ve heard rumors that the Chinese feed their gorillas extra sticky rice…

YMMV

Answers:

  1. In Sunday’s paper was an article about the financial difficulties Berea is facing. I hope it overcomes its financial difficulties. Give Jack our best.
  2. Yes, Denny does get on my last nerve. Thanks for noticing.
  3. Patron Saint of Canoeists.
  1. :poke:

Wait…I thought Jack was the Patron Saint of Canoeists?

Things are starting to make sense now…

oh dear, that is always so worrisome! :open_mouth:

Welcome to the madness that is C&F whistledom!
