Iv’e got a Whistle being made in the current batch by Mr. Rose. Could anyone who has a whistle of his give me their impressions?
Apparently mine is coming out of that batch too! It’s about time for another whistle fix!

same here, just sent him an email and he said it was in the current batch, of course unless you know the maker that’s hard to access, a current batch could mean one time frame of a month for a maker, and then another 5 months, but I’m hoping it’s the former!

The Archives my man, it’s all in the archives. I’m on my second Rose now, the first was Blackwood, the latest Boxwood. So far Fred’s work seems very consistent - great whistles to be sure.

Mine is being finished up! 
I currently own three Rose whistles: Boxwood, Rosewood, and Blackwood - Don’t ask how I ended up with all of these, it’s a long story. Anyway, I previously owned another Blackwood Rose, so I’ve had a total of 4 of Fred’s whistles. I must say they’ve all been wonderful instruments, some of the sweetest sounding soprano whistles I’ve ever played, so I think you are all going to be very happy when your new instruments when they arrive…I suspect you’ll feel they were well worth the wait.

How’s about you tease us a little and post a picture of the Rose you mentioned with the Sterling bands, the one donated for the charity thing? Most of us have probably only seen the Gold plate banded Rose whistles so far, I bet the Silver looks mighty sharp…

About then; Fred confirmed my order on Nov. 1st.
Just checked and mine was confirmed on Oct 27/2001. I was going to email Fred and ask when it would be ready but I figured it is better to leave him working on the whistles as opposed to answering emails.
