If you have a minute...am I playing with the right whistle?

Been trying to learn the whistle part to “Schottische Fran Havero” by Lothlorien at the urging of friends. I’ve been playing on a D whistle and half-holing; I’m wondering if there’s an easier way. If anyone has a minute to listen to it on mp3.com and tell me, I would appreciate it.

Click here, then look for the song on the list. I couldn’t find a link to it directly.

Sounds like E harmonic minor. It’s playable on a D whistle, with only the D# to half-hole. Right now I can’t think of any other key whistle which would make it easier.

Some whistles will allow you to play D# easier than others. So if your present whistle doesn’t let you play a D#, then switch to another whistle.
