My hard drive…you know, the one that went kablooey last week, and I was stressing thinking I had done something? Yeah, well, it’s back now. I have no idea why, or how. But it is. I’m not complaining, mind you, I would just love to know what happened. Did it take some sort of hiatus? Maybe a vacation in the Silicon Valley?
The good news is that I now have about 200 tunes on my iPod . I made sure to get them all on there before the darn thing did it’s funky disappearing act again.
Not that this was important for anyone to know. I guess I’m in a sharing mood tonight.
Perhaps this would be a good time to back up everything on that hard drive and get rid of it, i.e. replace it with a new one. There’s no sense waiting for the thing to black out on you again, maybe for keeps.
Last week, I started getting messages that my 80 gig hard drive was full. Given what’s on the laptop, this made no sense. I kept looking at the size of folders on the c drive and eventually discovered that the e-bay toolbar I downloaded a month of so ago was fillings about 47 gigs. Uninstalled, reinstalled, all is back to normal. I have no clue waht was happening. As the person who introduced me to pcs in the early 80s said. Don’t try to understand. It’s magic sh*t!
Yeah, that’s probably what I’m going to have to do. Bleh. Well, I’m not going to do it (I’d end up doing something to the thing completely). Mr Izz can do it instead
Are SCSI’s now obsolete? Seriously…I have no idea.
I will say that I knew that people didn’t use floppies anymore…although I only just learned this about a year or so ago. When I asked about them, I was met with a “You have got to be kidding” by Mr Izz . I may be clueless, but I am willingly clueless
