Place a piece of dental floss over the edge of the barrel, then slip the two pieces together. Dental floss is made to spead under pressure, so it won’t make the slide excessively tight. Amazing how much that stuff spreads out in my Abell.
I have a silly little piece of floss hanging out of the middle of my whistle, so I make sure it’s at the back.
I use Fiddle Rosin.
I used beeswax. It doesn’t need much.
Wouldn’t this cause a slight air leak along the edges of the floss? I don’t know if it would change the playing.
