How does one get water out of headjoint?

Forgive me for these questions.

I can swab the body & footjoint, but how about the head? When I take the end cap out, there’s another bit of cork stuck way inside. I think the cork thingy is permanently stuck and can’t be moved at all, there’s like a barrier so there’s no way to run a swab through the headjoint. Will a piece of cloth & chopstick hurt at all..or should I just blow all the water out?

You can use a piece of cotton or silk on one end of any regular flute cleaning rod - they have a hole in one end for holding the cloth - or you can buy one of Terry McGee’s awesome “Improved” Cleaning Rods - very cool.

Word of advice, quit fooling with your cork! It probably needs adjustment already!
