How do you tune an Overton/Goldie Soprano D?

So I’d agree with bogman that you’re probably blowing way too hard.

To be fair, I’d have to add: or, it’s a quirk of that particular whistle.

Or a quirk of that particular tuner..

It would be better to have another instrument or sound that you know is in good pitch to give you the notes and then compare to that. The snarks aren’t perfect accuracy, and some are worse than others.

Angelicbeaver, if you are using the new snark “all instrument” tuner that is their newest model, it is worth mentioning that the newest model, while much faster, is even less accurate. I own two different snarks and they give two different readings.
