Hey everybody....

Slan,
D.

Happy St. Pat’s, Dubhlinn. And Everybody.

(Makes a change from its usual colour!)

Happy St. Pats everyone.

I got a 10% SPD discount in a pharmacy today. It was on all non-prescription items and not just the hangover cures.

Hey! Lime Jell-O!

I see even Google has entered into the spirit of things

Made me look! heh heh

Happy Paddy’s Day

M

ok - time for the one phrase I know in Gaelic (and I don’t mean to offend anyone…)

Pog Mo Thoin!

Happy St. Paddy’s everyone!!!

Ah, the liffey. Smells as good as it looks.

Happy St. Pat’s day indeed.

Ah, the Chicago River (I think). Funny, I do not know why they dye it every year, its normal color is green.

Happy one to you too Dub!
As my girls headed out this morning, wearing carefully selected green accents, I (in my typical curmudgeonly manner,) pointed out that their only ancestors from Ireland were Protestand encroachers, there at the encouragement of the King.
But you know, there’s always the chance that one of those distant relatives way back then mixed it up with a real Irishperson–so maybe there is a drop of green in our blood…might as well make the assumption, today anyway!

Walden, you are so ingeneous. Thanks for the beautiful cyber-card.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone

I will play “Road to Lisdoonvarna” and “Swallow Tail Jig” on the fiddle. That might attract some unseen guests in my apartment.

…Is minic do bris an beal duine á srón.

I no longer celebrate holidays due to religious reasons, but I find myself sitting here in the library wearing a green shirt nonetheless, lest I get pinched. This is the only holiday in Western society where if you don’t participate to some degree, you’re threatened with physical violence.

Not in “Western society” on this side of the pond, and not anywhere I’ve been.

That’s good to know. I know first-hand that in parts of the US and Canada, you get pinched and laughed at if you’re not wearing green.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone!
When I was little in Salt Lake, you would get pinched
if you forgot to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day.
I don’t think they did that in California though.

I was in Galway on St. Patrick’s day last year with my Fife and Drum Corps, and we marched in their parade. Great time.
Funny thing is, our uniforms are red white and blue.
I was pinched a number of times.

And I liked it.

Whomph whomph whaahhhh

Happy St. Patrick’s Day All!
