Hi can anybody help. Shortly before the tragic death of Dave Williams
young Mikey Doran left his stock with him to send for engraving.
Does anybody know the name of the engraver in London that Dave used.
We have been trying to help Mikey for awhile now and this is kind of our last hope in helping him get his stock back.
Without the stock he is unable to play his pipes.
How infuriating.
The stock ‘should’ be in 1 of 2 places:
- still with the rest of the equipment/materials/ bits of pipes taken form the workshop. Mikey should cantact Brian Vallely or Eammon at the Armagh pipers club.
or
- Still with the engraver - in which case if Mikey contacts Rose, it should be simple enough to trace the where-abouts of the engraver by going through past invoices or considering Dave kept notes on most things - there should be a file or notebook in amongst the workshop paperwork with a list of suppliers for wood/metal tube etc - inc engravers.
Mikey mentioned his bass reg bar was attached with screws (as opposed to soldering) - the bass bar and the internal part of the stock should still be with the rest of the workshop things, as these would have been removed prior to sending the stock tube for engraving.
