Hello all. I thought I’d stop in at the pub first. Seems like the best place to say hello before I jump in to the main forums (or should that be fora?).
Anywhoo. I’m David, I recently restarted playing the whistle after some 20-odd years of not doing so (long and dreadfully dull story). I recently got myself a guitar, learnt a few chords and tootled off to the local pub session. That inspired me to pick up the whistle again so I now either hack away on me guitar or squeak along on me whistle and generally make a damn nuisance of meself whilst getting pleasantly drunk on the guest ale.
And many of us here realize we’ve asked every question we ever had or could imagine ever having on the subject of whistles (and answered a few as well,) so we’re more or less permanent barflies.
Thanks. And the only reason I’m ahead of the curve is that the bar is always the best place to chat and have a drink. (I’m not an alcoholic, I’m a drunkard. Alcoholics go to meetings)
BTW, who’s round is it? I’ll have a pint of Dr. Hexter’s Healer please.
