Just opened the box with my new Hedwitschak GPS bodhran and boy, it is beautiful! A work of art indeed.
No, it doesn’t have a global positioning device built into it, it is the Guido Pluschke Special model. A fine player (check him out on YouTube) and a fantastic drum.
What a blast these things are to play. Every whistle player should have a bodhran.
I have a GPS with a Spicy top on order. When it comes, that will make at least two of us.

why those drums are so popular at the moment.
they are ok, I’ve played quite a few of them.
but they not great.
I have precious little experience with drums, so I wouldn’t mind knowing what a truly outstanding line of bodhrans is. (I have much stronger impressions of whistles, and more experience with them.)
