Welcome, cassiewelburn!
Now … if you could just bear with me while I try to fix those links … I think I can do it …
Done! I think it was only that, on hitting “Share”, you need to then grab the BBCode, and paste it straight in here.
Anyway, interesting looking flute. How long is it? Looks like a piccolo to me, but then I’m no expert.
Too late, chap. I beat you to it!
Looks like a Bb band flute (Crown AZ?), you can have a look at this page. I think over all length and length from center of embouchure to the far open end are the measurements people like to see on these things to help to determine the pitch. Should be well worth cleaning up and playing.
Some of the Hawkes records may have been preserved after their merge with Boosey and then moved to the Horniman Museum. If you are really curious about the date when this was made, you could try contacting them.
Not a Crown AZ if stamped “First Class” - but looks rather similar to the Crown AZ style. Second the call for some basic measurements - can’t really tell from those photos if it’s a Piccolo or a Bb band flute. Impossible to even think about possible value without sorting out what it actually is - so please attack it with a tape-measure and let us know the overall length, sounding length and C#-Eb length in milimetres, please!
