Grinter on e-bay

Not mine, but thought someone here might be interested: http://cgi.ebay.com/Traditional-Irish-flute-by-Mike-Grinter_W0QQitemZ330387585910QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Antiques_Other_RL?hash=item4ceca27b76

Real pretty, but too much flute for me right now and I’m happy with my renovated Metzler.

i thought someone had just bought it a week or two ago?

Sold by the same seller on Dec. 5 for the starting bid of EUR 999.00 (USD $1,454.19)

Also sold a Hammy in C for the same price, to the same buyer, on Dec. 13.

The Hammy is also re-listed as:

Perhaps neither was paid for. The buyer is still around, bidding on other items, in the antique & LP categories. Or, the seller has mistakenly re-listed his sold items.

and one wouldn’t dare suggest the starting bid ‘buyer’ was not unconnected with the seller. Of course not, that would be against Ebay rules :astonished:

It’s just as likely to be a non-paying buyer (high incidence of those these days), or somebody screwing with the seller instead. The object of shill bidding is NOT to win the auction.
