gracing f sharp

i can never decide whether gracing f sharp with a is okay or not
when i was in robbie hannan’s class at a tionol he taught us to grace it with g (nipping?) and this is what i do in the second octave unless i’m playing off the knee in which case a sounds to my ear perfectly okay
declan masterson graces it with a in the second octave in the king of the pipers from tropical trad but i think i prefer it with g
i’m not sure about the lower octave though and would like others’ opinions
thanks

Whatever sounds best ought to be right for the chanter you play.
I tend to use the “a” most often on my chanter, I think.

Then thou are doomed to a life of indecision and uncertainty :really:
A/G,orG/A a/g or g/a AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
It doesnae matter… play whit ye like… its a grace note and should be barely imperceptable anyways.
