I didn’t qualify for it and it wasn’t because I earned too much. Had I, I would have bought an ALBA A whistle, a 3 bottles of 10 year old Jameson whiskey and 2 gallons of petro. Ah priorities
Well, food prices don’t seem to be dropping, so we’re using ours to line our pond so we can irrigate even if the drought continues, and plant around 100 fruit trees.
How’s that for planning ahead?
Boring as heck, too, but hey, we used our tax refund to go to the Grand Canyon. So it all evens out on the fun-responsibility continuum.
Here’s a question for someone more in the know than I:
We electronically filed our taxes and had our refunds direct deposited. Does that mean that our rebate will automatically be direct deposited as well? Or was there something else we should have done to make that happen?
I’m asking because, based on our social security numbers and when we filed (in mid-February) we SHOULD be in the first wave of rebates (and we definitely qualify)…but I’ve seen neither hide nor hair of one yet.
You’ll get your rebate the same way you had your refund sent–mine was direct deposited, so my rebate was too. For what it’s worth, I filed about January 30th and my SSN ends in 07.
What’s concerning me is the IRS site says that all dd rebates for social security numbers in that range (my husband’s is 14 and mine is 07) will be deposited no later than 5/2. It’s evening here, and there’s no new money in the bank.
Also, when I go to the IRS website and use the “where is my rebate” form, it tells me that it can’t process the request.
Did you receive notification via email before yours was deposited?
