Yes, they have their own special place in our hearts, each of them. They can’t be replaced, but they inevitably seem to see to it that someone needing us comes along to fill in the gap at the water dish with a new soul. It’s great that hearts can always find a new special place for the newcomer and never have to give up any of the old ones.
Yeah, I figure long about spring a new “farm dog” will appear-just like so many of our dogs, one day he/she will just show up.
