God Save Me From Mischa Barton

OK, today is my birthday, and first off happy birthday to all Aquarians of the 24th day of the first month; happy birthday, Charlene! This brings us to the issue. My family, without apology, watches “The O.C.” We think it’s a hoot and a relaxation from both reality and reality shows. We all hate Mischa Barton - the character she plays and the actress who butchers her so. Mischa is all over the place doing ads on TV and in magazines. Someone thinks she’s hot - I think she’s gawky and talentless. What’s the problem? Today, you guessed it, I found out today is her birthday (19th)! Grrrrriggglllpshattzzzttshnatz!

Philo

Well, Philo, Happy Day to ya!

Tom

 Happy Birthday Philo!

I’ve never watched that show and don’t really know who this actress is, so I can’t comment on whether I like her or not. “Googling” for her turned up a few web sites but I still don’t recognize her.

It’s also Neil Diamond’s birthday today.

Never seen the show, but I think she’s pretty. Maybe I just relate to the “gawky” thing as I’ve never outgrown it.

So, emmline, does your signature mean you were born in the fruitful year of 1961? If so, I’m also a 1961 model.

Bob

yep!

Youngsters!!!

Pups…mere pups. Why, by cracky, in 1961 I was cheering on the greatest baseball team I’ve ever seen - the '61 Yanks with the M&M race to 61 homers. Boy, is that ever dated, only 61? Pre-steroidal?

Here it is: Spaghetti and meatballs (homemade) and chianti for dinner. Then kick back with a glass of 18 year old McCallan and watch CDs of the greatest Sherlock ever - Jeremy Brett. The day will get better. (So far, just a lot of digging out and then planning college visits).

Philo

Brett was the greatest. It’s like he was born for that role.

Tom

happy boisday!!

Happy Birthday to you, PhilO. And may you live for another 100 years

Happy birthday, PhilO! And many many more.

And btw PhilO…if God doesn’t save you from Mischa Barton, we chiffers will–just let us know when to show up with our pitchforks.

I’m truly sorry that you must share your birthday with one you find so detestable, Phil. But I hope that your birthday is wonderful nonetheless!

I appreciate the sentiment, but NO, PLEASE, NO…NO…NO - Imagine the ailments and cynicism after 156 years. Oy vay.

Philo

Maybe you wouldn’t have much original equipment by then!
