FS: Sweetheard Low D whistle laminated wood

Hi.

I’m selling my Sweetheart low d whistle as I’m trying to save for a flute instead. I bought it some years ago but haven’t played it more than top 5 hours. This was my performance whistle and I have only performed once :smiley: so it’s almost in “mint” condition if a whistle can be that.

It’s made of something called laminated wood or Dymondwood®. You can read about it at sweetheart.com under the FAQ page. It’s a real wood but treated with something to make it low maintenance.

Cork on the joint.

Has been swapped after playing the few times it has been played.

Holes 3 and 6 are offset so I believe everyone can play this without the pipers grip.

The sound is the closest you can come to a flute just being a whistle.

It comes without a case but I will ship it well protected.

Let me put in a word for this whistle. I have one exactly like it, and it’s the best low D I’ve ever played (or, my favorite at least). The OP is correct that this is VERY flute-like. It’s also the only low D whistle that my wife has been able to finger.
