FS: Rogge FS in B

I am offering for sale my full set of Andreas Rogge pipes pitched in B. I am the original owner of the set, and have had them since 1998. They were fully re-reeded by Allan Moller a couple of years ago, and are in full working condition and beautifully balanced.

The pipes are made of ebony, with imitation ivory mounts and nickel silver metal work. The chanter is fully keyed with a stop key. The set comes with a flight case, and a Cillian O Briain bellows (rather than a Rogge bellows).

I love this set, but I have recently had restored a 19th century set of C sharp pipes, so common sense must win out unfortunately.

There are some pics posted on Chiff, but I am happy to send more to intersted potential buyers.

Sound files available on request. Serious inquiries only please. Please PM me for more information.

The pipes are located in London, England.

Asking price is £5700/€7000

I finally got around to taking a few new pics, and making a sound file.

Soundfile is here https://www.box.com/s/47cv2up5euu8klf54v7t

Nice sound, nice playing. What is that tune?

Thanks very much for the kind words Patrick.

The tune is called The Ladies Cup of Tea. Mick O’Brien played it during the South Wales tionol a couple of years ago, which is where I first heard it. There is a video of him playing it on the South Wales Uilleann Piper’s website under 2011 tionol videos.

Cheers
Rick
