Unfortunately, due to financial issues, I’m selling my Reviol low F whistle.
I got this whistle (used) from another C&F’s user about 6 months ago.
The whistle is made of aluminium and it’s black anodized. It’s in pretty good shape and is a great (and loud) player.
This whistle, new, goes for ~u$s 275. I’m asking u$s 220 including shipping worldwide.
Here are some pictures from the whistle:
The payment should be done through MoneyGram (preferred) or Western Union. Sorry, no PayPal.
I decided to dig this thread up and give an update. I am the happy owner of the Reviol Low F. I think it has a lovely tone – exactly what I was looking for to play breaks in songs sung in F. It’s also nice for tunes in G minor, a favorite key of one of my bandmates. Last night at our weekly coffeehouse gathering, a friend recorded some of our songs, and the F whistle sounded quite nice (in spite of my inexpert playing). We plan to do one of those F songs at our local winter folk festival next week, so maybe I’ll practice a bit and sound even better by then.
It’s a good whistle! And it is getting around the world: made in New Zealand, exported to England, sold on to Scotland, sold on to Israel, and now to Alaska.
I love playing low F, nice low tone and easy fingering.
Sarah, I’m glad you’re liking the whistle. I hope someday soon I’ll be able to get another loud low F whistle like the Reviol. In the meantime I have a nice and quiet PVC low F made by a friend
