FS: KerryPro low D - SOLD

I’ve been away from C&F for awhile, playing whistles (and flute) less so than the cello (my “primary” instrument), but it’s good to see that you all are keeping the forum here alive and well. In the meantime, over the last few months, I’ve become somewhat enamoured with the electric cello, so to finance this newfound affair, I’m selling a one-of-a-kind KerryPro (tuneable) low D that I bought last year from Phil Hardy. It’s a fabulous whistle, deep and throaty in the low register, a high end that sings sweetly but can wail when you lean into it, and one of the most responsive whistles I’ve owned or played. When he sent it to me last September, Phil H. told me it was “destined for Mike McGoldrick” but I got to it beforehand. Now its destiny lies elsewhere, perhaps in the hands of a fellow C&Fer.

One of a kind?
I have one too, and I like it a lot. It’s huge and daunting to look at, but fingers surprisingly easily. I particularly like the low register. This is my “office low D”-- I keep it there for tootling at lunch hour. In nice weather, I sit on my front steps where the sound of this whistle never fails to catch the attention of passersby.
