Ok, this time I have pics. I have two flutes for sale. First I have a Dave Copley african blackwood flute in D. It is a four piece flute with silver rings. I bought it not to long ago and it’s looks and sounds great. There was an expertly repaired crack on the headjoint and it’s almost invisible now. Pic:
I paid $750 for the flute used and that’s what I’m asking for it. Get a great flute without the waiting lists. Comes with plastic gun case.
Also for sale is an antique Hungarian made keyed flute and piccolo set, comes with unique wood case. It’s marked ‘Stowasser, Budapest’, made around 1890. The wood is dark but I’m not sure which kind. I bought this off ebay from someone in Argentina. It’s in need of total repadding. I never got around to it. Also… while I was taking the stupid picture a section slipped off and hit the hard wood floor and broke off a key, it obviously needs to be wound with thread or recorked. GRR. The key is not original to the flute and I suspect it wasn’t attached very securely, probably something similar to solder. The flute has no cracks at all, the piccolo has a crack running between the two brass rings the are right below the headjoint and should actually be easy to repair. So this is a project flute set for someone with the inclination. Here’s the pics:
I paid $350 for the set. Asking $300 because of the key.
