Aulos Stanesby Jr. traverso, pitched at A=415, copy of 1715 (?) Ivory traverso. High quality ABS, very good workmanship on these. Comes with a nice hard case, cleaning rod, and swab. I’m also including 2 books; the Quantz “bible” and the Boland book. $400 + shipping.
These are good traversos. I have one. This last summer at Boxwood, Marten Root, a fantastic traverso player, tried my Aulos Stanesby jr. He wanted to know where he could get one as a travel flute. This comment was from a man who makes his own flutes, and plays them on his recordings. He liked the Aulos’s sound, playability, etc.
You act like you don’t want to sell it. Why so coy about the price? Less information is not going to help your cause and makes me suspicous. I was interested…
Yep, that’s the one, thanks rh! I trolled the 'net but hadn’t been able to come up with anything. In person, it’s a bit less glaringly white, a slight creamy-ness.
