Ok, here we go again. Had a buyer back out. I really need to sell this!
Blueridge BR-143 OOO size acoustic. All solid woods. Mahogany back, sides and neck. Sitka spruce top. Rosewood fingerboard, bone saddle and nut. Tuners are the Waverly style open-back w/ “Butterbean” pegheads. Inlay on the headstock. Scalloped bracing, also has an extra strap button on the heel that I had added. Setup with Martin SP Phosphor Bronze strings. This guitar works really well for a variety of styles and tunings. Includes a nice arch-top hard shell case, Keyser and Dunlop capos, nice strap, and I’ll throw in Sarah McQuaid’s DADGAD book. The guitar and case were $600 new. The guitar has low milage. I’ll take $400 and include shipping.
I don’t know the seller, but this is a good deal on an excellent guitar: I recently sold my BR-73 (The solid top, laminated sides and back version of the same guitar), for $350. locally, no shipping. The ONLY reason I sold my Blueridge is because I’m raising money for my instrument making tools. Honestly, if I had the cash I’d be all over this guitar right now.
For anyone not familiar with Blueridge guitars, hop on over to the Martin Guitar forum and do a search for Blueridge, you find that even Martin fans think the Blueridge guitars are very good.
I’m sure they will. The only reason I sold this one was to upgrade a couple steps to the BR-183, the Select Sitka and Indian Rosewood model. Even better! They’d have given me less than I was asking here on trade-in at the shop…you know how that goes. I use to have a Martin, that I didn’t like nearly as much as these. Granted, it was a low end Martin, but still.
