does anyone know wich programe might convert music on cd into abc notation, if you give in the bell note of the tune from the cd.
if so, is there a slowdowner and pitchchanger
in that programe aswell?
Hmm, no idea whether this sort fo software exists, but what I do is lookup the tune on JC’s ABC tunefinder - they’re usually there. Actually I use sheetmusic rather than ABC, but that’s there too.

As for speederup and slowerdown, there’s been threads about this before, so you may have some luck with a search through the archives.
Good luck! Martin
Copy the CD track onto yer HD.
Convert it with e.g. MusicMatch (free) from
mp3 to wav.
Then you need a prog’ that converts wav files into midi (costly - if anyone finds a freebie, please post
) sometimes available for a limited time trial for free.
Then use midinotation to print out the score!
Da-da! (doh-doh, ray-ray, me-me etc)
Need I always say the obvious. You have the tools for the job, ears and the stuff located in between them.
All the equipment you need: ears, brain and the roni music amazing cd slow downer. =)
thank ye all for all the best info you can imagine! words can’t tell how much i appriciate all this. i’ll start with roni’s slowdowner.
GoldWave will perform the slowdown function, plus lots of other stuff (including MP3 to WAV conversion, etc.) for about US$40. Fully functional trial version is available.
