I use adware…

But, I also use a Firefox extension called AdBlock Plus…and that one normally gets most of it…

So which one(s) should I download? I don’t understand the difference…

It’s a good idea to stick with just one anti-virus program. But Anti-spyware programs seem to have evolved in different ways. We have spybot AND ad-aware AND hijack-this! I’m fond of "Hijack-this! if only for its icon.

Cranberry, Bystander is right, have only one virus-program on your system, but more than one spyware-program, that means if you want good protection, download all that I listed.

Amar told me about AVG a couple of years ago, I’ve used it ever since. I got it to replace the Norton Antivirus that came with my computer and did nothing but cause massive problems. The AVG got rid of a couple of trojans that the Norton did not stop.

Right now I use AVG antivirus, Xoftspy, Adaware and a-squared. I may load these new ones he’s recommending.
