The ‘Attic’ Brennan set has been restored and is now airtight with all mechanical parts working. New bag, bellows, and a new mainstock has been turned for right-handed playing. No parts were modified from original (no undercutting, boring or anything of the sort). The next step is reeding (which might well be impossible). Nick Whitmer was kind enough to make measurements and give permission to post them.

In a negative image wouldn’t the whites of his eyes and the ivory mounts be black?

The photo is either a left handed piper playing a right handed set of pipes (original posting of the photo) or a right-handed piper with a left handed set (mirror or ‘negative’ image). Judging by the buttons on his waist coat (as Rob suggests), it’s a leftie piper with a right handed set of pipes. The alternative is that it’s a mirror image photo and the piper is wearing a lady’s waist coat.
