Just a few weeks ago I got one of Rob Forbes’ Delrin flutes, in D, along with both the standard end cap, which includes a fixed position head joint cork, and the screw adjustable end cap, just in case I should feel like experimenting. So far, however, I have only used the standard end cap, which works quite well.
Not that I needed another flute, but it is nice to have one which can travel with ease.
Actually, I have a lot of good things to say about this flute, but as it is so new to me, please give me some time before I could offer a more detailed assessment.
Otherwise, it is very well made, and I am delighted with its response.
And, while it has rather big holes all around, it is surprisingly efficient in its use of air.
In short, I like it!
