Going off on a tangent here…I’m listening to a music history course called The Symphonies of Beethoven. Apparently Beethoven got into these really silly moods where he made ribald puns and gave his friends insulting nicknames. His own word for those moods was “aufgeknöpft”
Considering that the zipper hadn’t been invented yet, I guess a loose translation for “aufgeknöpft” might be “letting it all hang out”
