Laura Byrne began playing the flute at age 9 & in the mid-90s started playing Irish music. In 1999, she won the U.S. Eastern Fleadh Championship. Laura has taught at the Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville , NC , & the Catskills Irish Arts Week in East Durham , NY , & performed at festivals across the USA & Ireland .
