Flatley on Flute

Since you ask: You. Howzat?

(Take a moment now to think about what word “woo” was in all likelihood meant to replace. )

I’s still tryin’ ta figure out why ya said he was hinged

This is draggin’ on a bit as my neighbor has suffered a serious breach in his parameter containment and is leaking cows, steers, etc. My horses are not amused.

Carry on

A point of subtley, and well played. First to point out that Warhol’s Marilyn Diptych is not hinged. Flatley’s two images here have no hingement. I have, with Warholian precedent as my shield, also called the Flatley arrangement a diptych. But that is all: therefore I have not said that Flatley was hinged, or unhinged. That is another matter, and ground upon which I should not presume to tread.

when all else fails…play dumb

that’s my motto and I’m stickin’ to it

How’s the cows?

Get a life.

Harsh. I guess I must try to figure out what a life is, then.

seems like it’s someone that doesn’t care for our banter.

the cows have returned, I’m off

I thought it said he was hanged. I can cancel the order for flowers.

Best wishes.

Steve

only in effigy…

I said neither one. As in, “neither one”. I should know; I just checked to make sure.

But I do think I’ll have a shot of what you guys are having.

'ave a couple

Well. if the cows are back, then that means your neighbor has reestablished the parameters of his perimeter :poke:

Bob

The cows are back… I led them back, talked to the neighbor

the parameter is on for tomorrow

it is the fencing that spans the stream, in the woods, that is laying in the water with the winter’s windfall on it. (about 45’ of it)

when I had a track hoe I’d just take care of his fence as soon as it dried out enough to toddle down there… oh well

I’ve said this before, but I think where Flatley shines brightest by far and away is at playing reels. I loves me some Flatley reels. Pretty brilliant stuff, I think, and his way with variations could almost be a study in itself.

I thought those pics were of an effigy…

Well, yes, he DOES look well-lacquered, but you have to admit that the makup artist had the commendable good taste to use a light touch with the trowel.

i’d agree, his reel variations are nifty.
I’m not much for his jigs, which seem pedestrian…
or his airs, which lack some basic musical quality…such as playing in tune. :open_mouth:

but his reels are cool.

Wow, tough crowd, tough crowd I tell ya.

We’ll be here all week… try the veal!

It was announced on the radio this am that today is Mr. Flatley’s 52nd birthday. Perhaps cut him some slack for the day…?

Best wishes.
