Since I’ve really just learned how to play songs on my whistle, what songs, to you, are great for beginners? I would like to learn another jig, but I would like to learn it slow at first so I can get the feel for it before I play faster.
If you could perhaps post the music for the songs or provide a link to where i can find songs, that would be wonderful! Thanks!!

I can understand a girl playing a LOW whistle to the side cause of the shorter hands and arms, but why is this chick playing a little

Anyway, to answer your question, any beginner book should give you
tunes like Kesh Jig, Road to Lisdoonvarna, etc. I’m sure Thom at
the Whistle shop has some learning books for sale.

I think most will agree that Andrea Corr can play whistle in any configuration she likes.
She sorta looks like she’s reading music, turning her head to see it, and maybe holding the whistles straight, but her head is turned. Ok, she’s probably just got a big dip of snuff in her mouth. What? What? That’s a logical explanation here in Alabama.

Probably for the same reason I do, because she wants to.
Probably best to learn tunes you may have already heard elsewhere first. It can make it easier to spot when you’re making mistakes.

Many times you must play the whistle like that so you can keep an eye on the bodhran players who notoriously drink everyone’s whiskey when they’re not looking. 
Ahh, but Caroline isn’t playing the bodhran in this video…she’s playin the piano!!! 
Maybe she’s keepin an eye on Sharon!!! Making sure she isn’t pulling little bottles out of her violin when she isnt’ looking!
