I was thinking of having a go at making some drones for my practise set. I have looked at some instructions for making Scottish smallpipes from cPVC tubing , and also David Daye’s drones for the Penny Chanter project. It would seem doable - and if it doesn’t work out , then it’s just a few quid for tubing etc. so no real issue.
The thought of cutting into the bag on my practise set doesn’t appeal, so I guess I’d also make a new bag just for this project.
Could anyone let me know the internal diameters of the three drones and approximate lengths.
I appreciate that there’ll be a lot of experimentation here , but that would be part of the fun I guess.
