The fipple doesn’t actually move, and the length of the windway doesn’t change either, so there isn’t much effect on pitch… it’s more like “focusing” than “tuning”.

Yesterday, I got my Domnahl na Gruen Low D whistle. Although I didn’t had much time to really play it, I can only say it looks and sounds even beter than I expected. As I have small hands, the off set tone holes are (for me) a delight to play without much stretch.
The sound is really nice and pure, and doesn’t require to much air. Second octave is easy to reach and maintain.
This is my first Low D whistle and I already love it. I surely would recommend Domnahl’s whistle to somebody starting to play the Low D and doesn’t want to spend to much money (£60,00 + shipping).
