Does anyone make a low B-natural whistle?

Can anyone recommend a low B-natural whistle? Does anyone make these?

Thanks.

Low as in below low D?

Mack Hoover has done some nonstandard keys, I believe.

hiya, both mike burke and colin goldie (overton) make a b-nat.
I haven’t got either, I do have a lowD from Mike that I like a lot.
cheers, Amar

I’m sorry, I thought you meant normal b-nat…
Mike told me he’s working on a lowBb and a lowB, should be out this year…
cheers.

I’ve got a Mike Burke one, in composite. It’s quite nice for learning Bnat pipe tunes.

Low Bnat, below D, would be pretty unwieldy. I have an Overton Low A, and it’s definitely playable but not easily so.

Stuart

I have a low C Alba. Since she makes a Bb, too, she would certainly do a B= as well.
Her C being extremely comfortable (less reach than my usual Low D), and since she offers the Bb with offset holes, I guess the B would be quite manageable.

Now I guess you’ll have the choice between the Overton (back-pressure, low on oxygen, and that special tone) or Alba (easy reach, easy blow, breathier if full sound with a bit less volume).

Zoob, I’m considering getting a lowBb by Alba. What do think?

Amar, it’s just like I said above.
I do consider myself buying a Bb from Alba, since this C is so fantastic. I could also get it cut (“tuneable”) and ask for a Bb tube.

Now, as I said, you have the choice between Alba (easy blowing, tad breathy, easy reach) or the Colin Goldie sound with all them Overtones, stronger volume, lotsa push but longer-lasting breathes…

I also have this C from CG, same wide bore but I do’nt play it half as much as Stacey’s. Now, I may return to it in a year or two, if my reach improves, and also my diaphragm control…

For now, I go for comfort, and feeling more confident. IMHO, the tone of this Alba C is also something else, rich in a different way (woodier ?) with an exceptionnally stable low end and no tendency to honk or excessive chiff on transitions.

Now pity someone of the board acquired an Alba Bb, offset holes, last autumn, but never commented here.

Thanks Zoob, I’ve written Stacey, asking her to send me the meassurements of the lowBb, not sure if I can manage the reach…

Sorry for the confusion, I was looking for either a B or low B natural whistle.

Thanks for the help–if I wind up getting any of these I’ll post it here.

Best,

I did some research about who bought that Alba low Bb. It was TubaFor and he actually did comment. Here :
