I just got the offical word from the Chief of Police. They’re gonna leave me alone! When I think of something good I’m gonna walk in there and say “It ain’t enough…” Nice way to neutralize me and spare themselves some embarrassment…I knew this had to be an either or shot with Deadwood, either leave me alone or punish me! This came with only one condition. Don’t sit out side of the Old Style #10 Saloon! Nice thing to know how this town has to play it! And I got some PR. All the Native American papers printed my editorial, the Rapid City Journal tore the guts out if it! Nice thing is, nobody else around here reads Indian newspapers, so they can’t change their minds!!
Does this mean that you aren’t going to get yourself arrested? I was kinding of looking forward to seeing an news article describing your arrest in Yahoo! News “Oddly Enough” section

Once there was a military band with a wonderful leader. They always played the same stirring march tune when the military brass arrived for inspection. Then one day the general discovered the name of the tune was “Here come the clowns”… 
You need some “special” music to play whenever town council members or casino owners appear. Hm… a lot of people should recognize “Send in the clowns”…haven’t tried it on whistle, though… Suggestions?

U2, I don’t think it’s so much about being able to play in peace as it is about bucking the “Deadwood establishemnt” and being in their face.
A while back ( http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?topic=3135&forum=1 ) she went home on St. Paddy’s day when she didn’t get hassled by the police (to her own disappointment).
Please note that I’m not making any commentary (positive or negative) about how I feel about the above-mentioned situation, but I certainly do get the impression that there’s more to the story than just Anna wanting to be “left alone”.
