I have a De Keyser flute for about 4 months now, but I still have some troubles with tuning. When I got the flute, the stopper was at 23mm from the center of the embouchoure hole and it was not really in tune. I tryied replacing the cork (at 18-19mm)but when it is in tune with itself, it is higher then A440. Somehow it is a De Keyser speciality because my other flute does not have thi problem.Does anyone have a De Keyser as well and could help me a bit?
Sometimes it takes some attempts to get the cork in the right position. I tried and then had my teacher do it - he fixed it in a minute.
If it ends up being to high, you can use the tuning slide, if your flute has one, to lower the pitch. If the internal tuning is too far off, I reckon it’s best to contact the maker.

My De Keyser flute is spot on in tune.
22mm from centre of blowhole to stopper.
I am really pleased with the tuning as my other flute was crap.
