Custom Cases

Hello,
Does anyone out there know of a maker of custom cases? I need a case for a LARGE dreadnaught I built for a friend in the early 70’s. I’m also building an octave mandolin and expect to need a case for it. It would be best if the maker was somewhere in the Northeast but any suggestions will be welcome - thanks in advance for the help. Kevin

Calton Cases in Calgary, Alberta? Pricey, but attractive and built like tanks. Seems there may be a backlog nowadays.

Blue Heron soft cases are excellent, and they’ll do custom sizing too.

Anvil Cases are very good. (www.anvilcase.com)

I use to have one for my Gibson Everly. They are a little large. But, the protection offered is terrific.

All,
Thanks for the suggestions - I appreciate the help.
A good case is worth its weight in gold…About ten years ago I made a couple of violins which turned out very nicely. I also made a case for each, nothing fancy, a poplar box covered in black Tolex with a nice velvet padded interior, some brass hardware (the type commonly available at the hardware store.) I was showing them off to a group of folks hoping to garner some interest. All liked the instruments but the only question I got was…“did you make those cases?” :boggle:
The violins were more fun to make than the boxes…
thanks again Kevin
