Does anyone out there have direct contact with David Daye (the penny chanter maker)? I have been trying to reach him over a matter but have been unsuccessful in getting a reply.

Try the UPIL mailing list as suggested. He does tend to pay attention to that before most anything.
Last I heard he was a few weeks behind on answering Email. That might explain the delay.

Are you using the correct email address? I emailed him twice last week with reed questions and he got back to me within 12-24 hours each time.
I’ve been using his e-mail address right off his site. Using the UP mailing list sounds like good advice!

he actually answers the phone-consistantly and immediately and is very helpful that way- the number is on the bottom of the pipemaking website:

he is very slow to answer e-mail- probably backed up, bad connection, or both
