Better to have a fly in your soup than no meat at all.

Brings back memories of Cheech and Chong…
“You mean I’m smokin’ dog s***?”

That seems absurdly paranoid. Surely if you take that to it’s logical conclusion you shouldn’t touch anything in a public space?

As long as you wash your hands before eating etc. then you’ll be fine.

But I’d still stear clear of snacks in bars, too many men eating them that don’t wash before leaving the gents.

Holy Fuc*!!! :open_mouth: I’m never leaving my frickin’ home again, that’s it, finito and so on… although, come to think of it, every time one flushes the toilet, a fecal mist permeates the entire house, lid up or down… seriously. Great, I’m just going to have to end it all… this is not turning out to be my day… sigh:swear:

Gosh, Joe, you sound a bit pooped! :astonished:

djm

Yes, I’m having the crap scared out of me today.

Joe’s fecal mist…sounds like a name for something…

I saw an episode of Mythbusters recently that tested how much fecal matter congregated on your toothbrush over the course of a month. Turns out it’s a lot.

There was another one recently where they tested women’s handbags for bacteria. Ofcourse the bags would be parked on the floor where ever the ladies went, pubs, toilets etc and slapped bang on the the kitchen table or worktop on arrival home. Anyhow, fecal matter was the least of their worries, salmonella turned up a good few times as well.

But I don’t understand the panic some people have (see the whistletesting threads that ‘gross out’ some). What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger

Careful there, Denny. I once made a joke about Joseph in Florida’s fascination with reed making, caling it Flo-Joe’s Reeds, and damned if he didn’t start his own company up called Flo-Joe’s Reeds. The idea of Joe’s Fecal Mist just scares the heck outa me! :astonished:

good point…

given the Laurence Welch & pipes connection
the reengineering alone is enough to…

…whatta stage show!

Hmmmmmm, food for thought.

You gotta admit, it’s a good deal less scary than Joe’s Oily Fecal Spotting… OK, gotta go…

Absurdly paranoid? I don’t know…I haven’t had a cold in three years-- approximately the same amount of time I’ve been wiping off shopping cart handles.

I think men are the true culprits. There was a casual study done some years ago about why the lines are longer for the ladies room at places like sports stadiums, etc. than for the mens room. You know why? Men save time in the restroom by not washing their hands.

Susan

Or dropping their drawers for #1.

I’d have thought the main reason was we all went as individuals, instead of as a group, and we just line up and let fly against the wall rather than in individual cubicles. Means more men can fit in the room at one time. Men also seem to simply take less time as well.

And we don’t wash our hands…

oh come on.

really quick, guys, by show of hands, how many of you don’t wash your hands before leaving the restroom?

Hmm … three, four, five … :astonished:

djm

might want to wash on the way in…

And THAT’S consideration.

No, really, Tyler. I read about it maybe ten years ago or something. I don’t remember many details and I’m sure I couldn’t back it up with a link to save me, but it’s true nevertheless. I’m not saying every single guy walks out without washing his hands, but the bottom line was that women spend more time cleaning up after using a restroom than men.
