I’ve always been afraid of these things, fearing I’d blow the audience away when I get to the high end, or conversly, if I set the volume so that the high end is good, the low end will be inaudible. Anyone have any experience in this regard?
Yeah, I played with that thing…not that great. It could be worse (2nd half of 2nd octave did sound too shrill - but maybe better mic would help) - but I prefer usual condensator mics…
I have never been a fan of this technology for on-stage whistle playing. It makes it impossible to ‘work’ the mic. And your analysis of the problematic high range volume issue is spot on. It would be my humble suggestion to save that technology for Ms. Spears.
Best.
Byll
Ms Spears…lol.
Thanks guys. I’ll stay with a mic that I can back away from. The audience won’t know what they are missing.
