Hello
Has anyone had this problem?
Bottom notes are a bit sharp but the open B and second C are almost the same note.
The other upper octave notes are very flat also.
Its not the end of the world, but I wanted to keep it in my briefcase as an occasional whistle.
I have had a few Meg D’s and they have all been fine.
The SweeTone and Meg C are extremely
disappointing, in my experience. I started
on a SweeTone D and I liked it very much,
but when I tried the C, I thought I must
surely have entered an alternate universe.
Where Clarke lost all whistle making skills.
Some of the problems can, of course, be
overcome with a lot of breath control. I’m
surprised the 2nd 8ve C is so flat, though.
That might be a breath control problem.
Do you vent the top hole when you play
that note?
Yes I do vent it, but it is even flatter if I don’t.
Its not a huge problem as it was only £3 but I don’t see a way of fixing it. If it was one note I could adjust holes to make it better in tune but its some sort of fundamental design problem I think.
