With my head bowed in deep despair, I must note that I have lost a Hunter D chanter. :
I have sold the chanter too a buyer in the U.S.. I sent chanter with The Danish Post Office for almost six weeks ago.
The Danish Post Office has set a search started. Chanter leave Denmark with plane to USA. 13. mai. But is hasnt been scanned yet by the U.S. Customs authorities. So the package seems to have disappeared in the package department at the airport.
Dont know what I should do more to find chanter . Some suggestions!
I had one of my chanters drop off the radar when I sent it to the USA a few months back. It turned up a few weeks later, so there is still a very good chance that yours will reappear.
Several years ago I had a chanter sent from Germany to the US dissappear. Deutsche Post weren’t interested in helping very much, from what I gather. The maker was good enough to make another chanter, that one made it.
The Icelandic volcano eruptions really put a kink in air shipments, so there’s a chance the chanter is still in a transport agent’s warehouse. Hopefully it will turn up in the near future. I hope it was insured.
