Casey Burns small hands vs. standard flutes

Am I correct that the CB small-holed flutes are slightly quieter than the standard size hole flutes, but otherwise have a similar sound profile?

I suppose none of us know. YOu might e mail Casey B
and ask him, or call. Lovely guy.

I thought that was “small hands”…

I find my CB ergonomic to be just as loud, but with a different tone than larger holed flutes - more muted, less tendency for overtones.

Yes, I meant small-hands, but doesn’t the small-hands flute have smaller tone holes as well as tighter spacing between the holes?

djm, is your CB a small-hands version? And when you say “larger holed flutes”, have you compared both the standard and small-hands CB flutes?

Are you kidding? I am in serious debt after buying my Terry McGee B flute. How could I afford to buy many models of CB’s various designs? I have tried a few flutes, but bought the CB ergonomic because I hoped the smaller holes would be easier to cover and take less wind to blow. Not much difference there, but still a nice enough sounding flute to last me a while.
