In regards to the drones, how do people find the drones lay across the body? Are they held upright by the fullness of the bag, or is it more of a resting on the arm kinda thing?

I like my drones leaning against my right collarbone. Sometimes while busking I’ll flip the drones up to the other side (GHB angle) so passersby are less likely to bump them. As long as the drones are out of the way of my bellows arm.
I tied the stock in specifically for that drone angle.
It’s mostly a matter of personal preference, IMHO. I’ve seen people who have them practically up over their right shoulder. Aaron likes them bumping his clavicle. Some play tham, as Aaron notes, in a GHB style. I prefer them pretty much parallel to, and a couple inches above, my left arm.
The one thing you don’t want is them laying on the arm. If you play them that way, the bellows will continually bump your drones.
So your drones can keep themselves upright? Or are they sort of resting against your arm?
Nate
I use my drones across the chest and they are kept in position largely be bag pressure. I tend to tuck the stock back against the body and as a result the bag wants to push them gently back against my body and this keeps them in place. As Bill says you don’t want them resting on your bellows arm as that is moving.
