Why is the northern half of asteroid Vesta more heavily cratered than the south?
How do they determine orientation/coordinate system of an asteroid?
I think it’s from the direction of the asteroid’s rotation. There’s a video in one of the links that shows Vesta rotating in the same direction as earth and oriented like it is in the picture.
Like the right hand rule then.
Do you need a license to drive a Vesta?
Only if it’s over 50cc with a top speed greater than 70km/h.
This one looks to be about 6.54 x 10^22 cc and is orbiting at 69624km/h. Getting caught without a license would probably carry a hefty fine.
