Hi, can anyone point me to a recorded source of someone singing the air,“Árdaí Chuain”? I know Liam O’Flynn does it on whistle, and Maggie Boyle did a version of sorts for James Horner’s soundtrack to “Patriot Games”, but what I am really searching for is a real traditional sean-nós version of the song, i.e. no sugar-syrup, New Age pap.

Micheal O Domhnaill sings it on an album from the seventies. I believe it was one of the Bothy Band albums, but it may have been on the album, Skara Brae. I don’t recall.
Thanks, Boxman. I put this question out in several places. The source that was recommended to me was Eilín Ní Bheaglaoich’s album Mile Dath. I have this on order now from CIC.
I will also follow up on he the Micheal O Domhnaill version.
